Adaptec Drivers Windows 7 64 Bit

I had a problem with my Adaptec 2940UW crad on Windows 7 64bit, turns out it is no longer supported by Adaptec and MS have no built in drivers.

I found this workaround:
Force install using this driver AdaptecAic78xx.zip AdaptecAic78xx

Extract the zip files to a folder on the PC
You need to select the device & update driver.
Browse my computer for driver software
Let me pick from list of device drivers on my computer
Have Disk
Select the location of the extracted files
Force the installtion using this driver.
